We welcome you to lunch at a local restaurant after seeing the picturesque town of Chefchaouen for a few hours. After that, we drive for 4 hours via the Rif mountains and farmland to Fez. Fez at night
We will take you up from your Riad/hotel in Fez Medina and drive you south via the Middle Atlas highlands to Ifrane and Azrou. We'll stop in the cedar trees along the trip to witness the Barbary Apes in their natural environment.
Later, we continue to Midelt over the Tizi N-Talghamt pass and the spectacular Ziz Gorges created by volcanic rock. As you reach Errachidia, take in the panorama of the Middle Atlas plateau, which changes to offer indications of the desert.
After lunch, we will go via the Ziz Valley to Erfoud, Rissani, and the Merzouga desert. We begin the camel journey to your luxury tent in the center of the Erg Chebbi Sand Dunes before nightfall, after a glass of mint tea. Where you will spend the night in a LUXURY DESERT CAMP under the starry sky of the Sahara.
If you wake up early, you can enjoy a magnificent sunrise on the dunes, then take a camel ride back before we start driving towards Tinghir city, then the Todra Gorges, one of Morocco's most famous canyons, where a walk will be provided with the opportunity to visit a nomad family who lives in a cave. By the end of the day, we arrive in Dades Valley, one of the most beautiful valleys in southern Morocco, where we will spend the night.
This morning, we'll continue our journey to Ouarzazate via the route of a thousand Kasbahs (fortresses), stopping at Kalaat Mgouna, the heart of the Valley of Roses, known for its annual Rose Festival.
We continue to the Unesco World Heritage site, the Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, after a few photos in Ouarzazate. The place is well-known for having served as a filming setting for Hollywood films such as Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, and the popular HBO series Game of Thrones.
